Banff, Canada - The City Famous for its Hot Springs and Skiing

Banff is a resort town settled in the Alberta’s Rockies, Canada. It is surrounded by Mount Rundle, Sulphur Mountain, Mount Norquay and Cascade Mountain and its wonderful location amongst the mountains makes it a popular tourist destination. It is popular for its hot springs and as a major destination for outdoor sports and ski resorts. Banff was settled in the 1880s with the laying of the transcontinental railways through the Bow Valley.

The Banff National Park is the heart of the place and is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Many tourists visit Banff and take the pleasure to stay in the cozy resorts and enjoy several recreational opportunities. The Sunshine Village Ski Resort and Norquay are one of the well-known ski and snowboard destinations. There are many outdoor activities to enjoy like mountain camping, hiking excursions and wildlife viewing.
